“Snake” or “Ekans” has been identified by Dragos, a cyber security firm, and is targeting industrial environments like power grids, manufacturing plants, oil refineries, and sewage treatment plants.
This trend of private cybercriminals leveraging state level inspired attacks for personal gain is a growing trend.
